Recent Projects: Part 1
Well it's be a crazy month. Taken on some interesting projects. I started the year off winning a commission for a renovation of a condominium in South Boston. It's an interesting project as there are tight budget constraints and the owner is looking to sell in a market that requires modifications made. Luckily I was able to draw upon my real estate knowledge to help the owner distinguish what changes needed to be made and which ones weren't necessary allowing us to finalize a great layout and minimize costs. - Design is what you make it.

Renovation Time in a Topsie Turvey World
The markets are crashing, the markets are crashing....sometimes the news industry pumps so much negative articles and fails to report the positives because it helps 'their' business. Is the economy in flux? Yes. Is the economy in need of an adrenaline shot? Yes. Is this entire economy going to collapse sending us into a Depression? Depends on which newspaper you read...but the real answer is No.
When others panic, you should take advantage of a great opportunity to get goods on the cheap and labor at reasonable prices. Now is the ideal time to renovate that kitchen or bath you've always wanted. Build an addition onto your home increasing the value while giving you an opportunity to create a unique home with distinctive selling points. Enlist the help of an architect. They're trained professionals and the small cost they will charge will repay itself in the ease of the renovation, final outcome of the design, and the value created when it comes time for resale.

Architecture as an Artform
Architecture - This term is familiar to most people but carries a different definition to each individual as well as what is seen as 'great' or 'beautiful'.
Buildings offer artistic design on the grandest scale. When a building is erected, the exterior design becomes a public artwork regardless of being privately or publicly owned.
